Texas Holdem Rule

Texas Holdem Poker starts with the two players to the left of the dealer. They put a predetermined amount of money into the pot before any cards are dealt. These two players are the only who post a bet without knowing what cards they will be dealt. These bets are called Blinds.

The Texas Holdem Rule to Pre-flop - Each of the players are dealt with two hole cards. These cards are only for personal use and the player must keep them out of the sight of the others. After the dealing, occur betting round. The player to the left of the Big Blind put the first bet. The players can fold, call or raise. To fold means to stop playing the initial game. If you fold, you won't have a chance to win the pot. To call means to wager the maximum amount of money posted for the current hand. To raise means to increase the maximum bet put for the current game.

The Texas Holdem Rule to Flop - After the first betting round, the dealer discards the top card of the deck. This is known as "burning the card". The dealer do so to ensure that no one accidentally saw the top card, and to help prevent cheating. Then the dealer deals the next three cards face up in the middle of the table. After the dealing occurs the second betting round.

The Texas Holdem Rule to Turn - The dealer burns another card and deals the fourth community card. Again the players bet.

River - The dealer burns the top card before placing the final face-up card on the table. Now the players put their last bets.

Showdown - Now, the active players show their hole cards and the winner is determined. The winner is the player, who forms the highest ranked hand. The combination can be made from community cards and hole cards. There is an option that allows players to make their hands only from the community cards - this is called "to play the board".
